Hannes Reeh Zweigelt Unplugged 2020 14% Vol. 0,75l

The winery Hannes Reeh is located in the famous wine-growing region of Andau, which is close to Lake Neusiedl. With 2400 hours of sunshine, Andau is one of the sunniest places in Austria. The vines grow on gravelly soils and have to be content with very little rainfall (450mm). Hannes Reeh has been solely responsible for the vinification of the wines since 2007. The winemaker is an unconventional person, self-confident and single-mindedly pursues his plans. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, then they have a 6-week maceration period and for the finish the wine is aged 100% in barriques. Tasting notes:Dark ruby garnet in the glass. In the nose very fine and pleasant of sour cherries, precious wood spice, nougat and vanilla. On the palate elegant, sweet, spicy, fruity of cherries and blackberries. Long lasting and spicy finish. Grape variety: Zweigelt. Fermentation: stainless steel tank. Aging: 11 months in wooden barrels. Soil: Gravel. Closure: Natural cork. Drinking temperature: 16°C. This Zweigelt from Hannes Reeh is an excellent food companion of roasted or grilled beef, game and cheese.
